Great breakfast/carnitas burritos!

Fast, great tasting food, but they lost a star because they shorted me a carnitas taco. Tuesday night at 7 and they weren't super busy. But I'll definitely go back to this no-frills taco joint.

This is by far the best Mexican fast food joint in Colorado Springs. This is THE location. The other smaller store is just not big enough to handle the masses so be prepared with that knowledge. The menu is not too complex and everything is made to order, so.dont worry about not getting some freshly frilled anything in your meal. Current favorites: Fish burrito, Carne aside burrito, Carne aside fries, The super nachos, the tacos, and any breakfast burrito. Don't forget the salsas for everything! Best Verde salsa in town for you burrito enjoyment!

The best tasting breakfast burrito I've had. You can customize your burrito as it is made fresh for you,it is not ready made frozen like at most places. It is also very big and they give you sauces,red or green to eat with it. Their combo platters are very delicious too.

They're consistently good. I will miss living down the block from this spot. Great breakfast burritos, fish tacos and my princess loves their carne asade fries.

We went through the driveway for breakfast burritos. Food was alright but none of the staff was wearing masks so I was a bit nervous about them actually following the rest of the current guidelines. I didn't get sick so I that is a plus but I would like to see them following the current rules.

This may not be the most thorough review, because every time I go all I get is the bacon breakfast burrito. But I LOVE that bacon breakfast burrito. My friends seem to enjoy other items on the menu. The restaurant itself isn't the cleanest, but there's no mountain I wouldn't climb for that bacon breakfast burrito.

Bad communication there. I ordered a Torta with No cheese and got a Tostada with cheese, i guess thats what this is. Im just still hungry now.

I usually go to the one on Powers but decided to try the original here and am glad I did. As usual the carnitas tacos were delicious. We got some rolled tacos as well and they were great. Their hot salsa is delicious, much better than the other location. They have a drive thru and are quick. Definitely recommend if you're in the area

The carne asada burrito was one of the best burritos I have ever eaten. Plus they made it spicy, at my request.

Its the second time going through the drive through for us and oh my gosh...amazing. The quickest, hottest, most delicious food! And service is amazing as well! Thank you thank you thank you to all the employees working so hard. You guys rock. Keep up the good work. We will undoubtedly be back.

I have been raving about Monica's Taco Shop ever since I came back. I think it's absolutely amazing, with the exception of some tacos, but it's cheap and delicious. For the price, it's absolutely worth it. Every time I visit Colorado, I visit Monica's Taco Shop because it's dirt cheap. You can order every single taco for under $20-25. I call that a bargain! For the taste, I absolutely love it. Maybe because I'm being biased because it's so cheap, but it's still so good! I've only bought their tacos because I'm not fond of "plates," since I don't like beans and rice. For their customer service, I've only interacted with their cashier, and they, meaning two people from two different locations, were really nice and kind. If you wanted any extra utensils or napkins, they provide it. Overall, I'd return to Monica's Taco Shop to eat over and over again. TAKE MY MONEY!

The food is delicious best breakfast burritos in Colorado Springs and best homemade hot sauce. Just make sure to check burrito if the young girl is taking the orders, she has a problem taking orders correctly, she has messed up order for my family and I at least 15 times. The other two ladies do a great job though

Fabulous tacos de cabeza and tacos de carne asada. Horchata is very good too. A real culinary gem in the wasteland that is COS fast food

The enchiladas tasted burnt, the rice had no taste at all. It was a bad experience and we will never go back there. They use to be a lot better, maybe they changed others.

Excellent food, reasonably priced.. nothing fancy about eating inside. They have drive-thru and take out. I like to eat in so that I can use lots of their green salsa.

Tried this place this morning the breakfast burritos were not good in any way. The potatoes where the consistency of mashed potatoes and watery. One of the burritos had no egg in it. The salsa was good but not good enough to save the horrible burritos.

I've been coming since they opened almost 20 years ago. They do not disappoint. Great food and great staff

This place is amazing!!! Get the carnitas burrito and a churro for about $9 and you won't be disappointed. Has been voted best in Colorado for several years prior and I can see why!!

Wow, really good chicken taco, red sauce and green sauce. I'll be back for sure! Great price and friendly service too. 👍 Drive thru is always a plus. Update: I go out of my way to visit here regularly. The red sauce is the best in Colorado. So good I buy it from them and always keep a bottle at home so I can get my Monica's fix any time.

Live this place! Don't care about language barrier. Just gotta have tacos and burrito!! I'm impressed how they handle the order when we are deaf customer! Great spots to grab a quick lunch or breakfast! Even they serve breakfast burrito all day!

Got 9 tacos, shredded beef tacos and ground beef. My daughter liked her ground beef but we didn't care much for the shredded. Dry, flavorless, too much lettuce and the salsa was meh. Wasn't even as good as our tacos at home. Sorry I don't get the hype at all. American tacos not Mexican. You're not missing out

Great local taco shop! Their carne asada tacos are bomb. Not so much their chicken tacos... This place is great if you want some actual mexican food rather than Chipotle. They sell horchata and have lots of dining room space inside.

We had two breakfast burritos to start. One with potatoes and one without. We liked the one without potatoes better, but both were great. I especially enjoyed adding some of the green and red sauce provided which elevated the burrito flavor. In the end, we went back and ordered 4 more to take home with us. We will be back!

As we pulled up to this joint, this happens to be one of the places that I have been before but haven’t reviewed. After going on a scenic adventure, we all decided to hit up Monica’s Taco Shop.This place is one of two in Colorado Springs and is very well known. After looking through their menu, I went simple - Carne Asada Burrito (no guacamole).After unraveling this beast of a burrito I had to put my hand out for the size reference. This is a massive burrito. The size showcases that this burrito is not skimping on the carne asada or the pica season gallo. As a result, this burrito turned out to be very good. The amount of meat you receive is incredible, but all of their meat was on one side with the pick being on the other. I wish it was mixed more in order for a more enjoyable experience.Overall, this was a fantastic burrito and I would recommend this place to others in Colorado Springs when it comes to Mexican food.

Are you looking for fancy food? Don't go here. This is your typical Mexican restaurant/drive thru that offers a good selection of Mexican eats without skimping on ingredients, even the guacamole. Skip the red sauce and order the three rolled tacos with guac and you've got some nice taquitos with a but of extra guac for your burrito. I mean it, try the guac.

Best breakfast burritos in town. And they're only $5. Just bought 50 of them for our employees doing snow removal right now. They're FILLING and absolutely delicious. Their red sauce is amazing.

Food is ok but their service is horrible. The last two times I’ve gone through the drive through I’ve sat at and not been asked to take my order. The first time was 6 minutes and 45 seconds. The second time was 5 minutes. There were no others in line. I honked several times and said hello a dozen times. It seems like they could afford to have a more modern efficient sensor and speaker system installed. I’ve been going here for years but I won’t go out of my way again.

I have been patronizing Monica's for years now. Have been a little concerned about their cleanliness and particularly so with the Covid. I cannot recommend them any longer after going in this morning and seeing at least 6 people in the reception areas without masks. No one from Monica's seemed unduly concerned by this. If they can't follow basic directions what else are they missing?

Good food cheap. Better then taco bell, faster, bigger, cheaper. It works for a quick bite. No gender neutral bathrooms.
